Terms of Use

Friendly Echo · effective 19 October 2026

1. The service

Friendly Echo lets small groups of friends score their day, share how they're doing and look out for each other. It's provided by Ariel Monti, Gerberweg 61, Nidau, Switzerland (contact: ariel@horoboro.com), free of charge.

2. Who can use it

You must be 16 or older.

Friendly Echo is not a crisis or medical service. It doesn't diagnose, treat or monitor anything, and nobody watches what you share. If you or someone else is in danger, call your local emergency number (112 in Europe, 911 in North America) or a crisis line such as 143 in Switzerland, 116 123 in the UK and Ireland, or 988 in the US.

3. Your content and how you behave

You're responsible for what you share. Don't use Friendly Echo to harass, threaten or bully anyone, share illegal content, impersonate others, send spam, or try to disrupt or overload the service.

4. Reports and blocking

You can block people and leave groups in the app. To report abuse, use Report in the app or write to ariel@horoboro.com. Because content is end-to-end encrypted, we only see what you choose to send us. We may stop a mailbox from using the relay if it's used for abuse.

5. Privacy

See the Privacy Policy.

6. Availability

We provide Friendly Echo as is and may change or stop it. Envelopes wait on the relay for 72 hours at most and can be lost if the server restarts, so the app isn't suitable for anything that must arrive.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damage, or for content shared by users. Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell you in the app about material changes. These terms are governed by the law of Switzerland. Mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in still apply.
